Setting up your mood for Yoga

Updated: Dec 24, 2021

Most of the time it feels hard to start our Yoga exercise because we are not in the mood or we can't focus maybe our mind is so occupied with so many things. So how do we set our mood for Yoga?

1. Meditate

Close your eyes and slowly count your breaths. Try to clear your busy mind and focus on your breath. Listen to your heartbeat and try to be calm. Try to do this in a quiet place so you can feel more peaceful.

2. Smell

Try to light up a candle with your favorite smell or maybe diffuse your favorite essential oils! This will definitely boost up your mood for the exercise because it helps you to feel relax. If you can, try to look for a calming smell such as Lavender, Sandalwood, Copaiba or Cedarwood.

3. Music

Find a music that fits the calming and relaxing mood for Yoga. You could listen to slow instrumental music which can help you to focus on your Yoga. Avoid listening to high paced music as it will distract you from your focus and movements.

So there you go, some of the ways to lift up your mood before doing Yoga. Don't forget to try it out! The most important thing is to remain focus and believe in yourself that you can do it!
